And it's HONG KONG AGAIN!! haha.. 2014!!

This would be my 5th Trip! and it seems like i'm visiting HK every 2 years! LAst trip was in 2012, and the previous, 2010..haha.. I think I have covered all the major tourist spots! But why HK again? WEll.. it's a family trip, or more precisely, it's my brother's preferred destination. Kind of an encouragement for him to finish his BMT spell!

Anyway, after knowing he has an off period in Jan 2014, we decided on HK, and got the air tickets. SQ having a promo, and it's only $331 per pax all in price, which is super cheap! Got the tickets, and now, thinking of where to visit this time round, and to decide on the hotels. Hotels in HK is really expensive. Friend suggested apartments, which i'm seriusly considering. Perhaps, it would make the trip a little different from the usual by staying at these real apartments, hk style!

Looking at a few vacation rentals recommended by trip advisors, and they seems great, and cheap.. can get a reasonable 2 bedroom unit with living room and kitchen at only around SG$150 or even less! seems like a good deal. got to study more though..to decide this time round, where we are going to stay.. HK isle or Kowloon area!

Hmm... where to go?? Lamma Isle, Cheng Chau, Sai Kung, .... ?? hmmm.....

Next Trip : Korea! 2013

Finally! After talking about it for YEARS, i'm finally going to Korea! SOmehow Korea seems to be a place where many people have gone, but I'm just not one of them. Few years back, realise that one of my friend(ex-coll) also had not been to Korea and wanted to go, and we decided, let's do this trip together!

Things happened, and it's only 2-3 years later, we finally , finally had the chance to take this trip together. Was considering F&E or Package. After much consideration, we finally decided to do it via tour package. Afterall, money aside, it's our first time travelling together, and perhaps, from this trip we can understand each other better, and well, our next trip then be a F&E Trip.

Going via Hong Thai, which is suppose to be good for Korea trip. It will be an autumn trip, a 8 day trip to Jeju and Seoul, and well also covering the theme parks! Looking forward!! :)

Forgotten Blog of 2012

Oopps. i totally forgotten about this travel blog of mine again!! haha
Anyway, in terms of travelling, it's been an interesting year for me last year! besides the usual Malaysia, went HK with my family in APril and then to Hanoi/Halong bay in July and ended off spectaculary with a visit to INDIA!!!

I never imagine that one day i would visit India ever! I must admit i'm not the very adventurous kind of person, and though i do wanted to visit the "exoctic" countries, i'm pretty apprehensive about those places. Being brought up in a very safe singapore, with everything at our fingertips, we are very spoilt and this kind of made me more apprehensive of certain countries. ANyway, after attending serveral dharma classes, my mum and I somehow were on the same wavelength and the thought of doing a Buddhist Primilage appealed to us. And we did went! Visited the 4 major sites of Buddha's birth place, enlightened place, place of his first sermon and the place where he passed on to nirvana. It's really an eye opener trip filled with lot's of unexpected happenings, and it did make me appreciate our governemnt and the the safety we have more. Not to take so much for granted.

It's really a memorable trip, and if given the chance i would want to make the trip again!

July was a visit to Vietnam. My 2nd trip to the country but my very first to halong bay and hanoi! Halong Bay is really a sight to behold. Beautiful scenery every single moment. Stayed aboard the junk for a night, and got the luxury treatment! LOved every single minute of it! and at Hanoi, we stayed 2 nights at the most luxury hotel -Sofitel in town (thanks to my accord membership). it's amazing. but even when we shifted to another boutique hotel (which is much cheaper) the services and rooms were great! really value for money.

Well more or less completed my 2012 updates. hopefully for 2013, i will be more updated with the details of my travels memoris!! hahaha

Taipei 2011

Following the 2 days at SML, we took the 855 Natou Bus 南投客運 from SML to Taichung HSR Station 高鐵台中站 and transfered to the high speed train THSR at Taichung (Wu-Rih) Station 高鐵台中站 . the Journey took us only around 40mins.

After checking into our hotel at Cityview III (near Taipei Main Station), freshened up and went on our way. First stop was a quick taxi ride to Din Tai Feng at Yong Kang Street. As usual it's crowded. We took a number and started to explore around Yong Kang Street. Got our table around 1 hour later and i simply loved the Xiao Long Bao with Truffle. so heavenly and you don't get it back here in Singapore!

And after filling out stomach, we went on our way to Maokong Tea Plantation 貓空. Took a train to Taipei Zoo Station and from there took a cable car up to the last station. Happened to have a promotion and we actually got the cable car tickets at 1 for 1! lucky us.

However, weather was so hot, that by the time we reached the top, took a short walk, we were so tired. Stopped by a tea house for some refreshments before walking around again. By 5 plus, we gave up and started our way down.

Took the train to Lioujungli Station and made our way to Tonghua Street Night Market (通化街夜市)/ Linjiang Street Night Market (臨江街夜市). Had our dinner there and off we went via taxi to XiMengDing area for some shopping and of coz, Ah Zhong Mian Xian!

Aussie - Gold Coast?

Saw the promotional offer by Scoot yesterday, and boy, was I tempted. A normal air fare to Syndey is around $800-900 and this sales launch by Scoot is only around $400. Did a little research and found that the cost of 4 tickets to GoldCoast for the National Day weekend is around $1600 which means only around $400 per ticket! Almost half price of the regular air fare. So what's it's budget air? If we meant to go Aussie, this is really the time to go!

Left my brother's holiday and attachment schedule at the office today. Which means, I can't do any booking today. Well well, let our luck decide. If I am still able to get the fares tml, Goldcoast, off we go!

Hong Kong Yet again 2012

After many discussions of where to go, for my Bro's vacation, finally it's Hong Kong, Yet AGAIN!!!
haha, me, my mum and bro just went HK 2 years ago and we covered quite a lot of areas in our last trip. For myself, this will be my 4th trip, and i really running out of fresh ideas, and attractions that I have never been!

Anyway, bought our air tickets via Priceline for Hong Kong Airlines at less than $400. Decided to spend a night at Macau, and after much searching, managed to get a 1 night day at the Venetian for SGD$300 a night. For HK, we got the 3 nights stay at YMCA Salisbury at Tsim Sha Tsui - Family suite at around $330 a night.

Will be flying off on the 5 April and returning on 9 April. Now still thinking hard of where to go. Have more or less settled my Macau itinerary. As for HK, decided to go Ocean Park this time round. Have never been there. As for the rest of the days, i guess it's very much F&E, with some relaxation time and SHopping! unlike my previous trips hahaha...

Guess will try to update again when i have gone for the trip.
